The UK will vaccinate people over-80 and some health and care staff to start with.
The first person to receive the vaccine was 90 year old Margaret Keenan, who turns 91 next week and was happy with her early birthday present. This is the first of 800,000 doses to be given in the next few weeks, and will be followed up with up to four million more in the next month.
