Allocetra is an incredible development for severe and critical cases of Covid-19, among other diseases that cause serious hyperactive immune response. It’s mechanism brilliantly copies the body’s own signaling process, which tells the the immune system that it has done its job and can now turn off the dangerous cycle of inflammation, known as Cytokine Storm (Cytokine Release Syndrome). This profound cycle of inflammation is what kills people with Covid-19, and it is the severe inflammation that damages the body’s organs, the effects of which can sometimes persist long after recovery from the virus.
New treatments like Allocetra give me hope that Covid-19 will no longer be a fatal disease in as soon as a couple of months, once the FDA approves it and the US Government includes Allocetra in its efforts to make effective treatments available. It should be noted that the trial numbers are limited due to the sensitive nature of the study population (critically ill Covid patients) but the results are truly stellar thus far, and there are no have been no major treatment risks identified. I am hopeful that the risk of death from the Coronavirus will plummet dramatically once Allocetra hits the market, especially when you consider that it can be combined with other therapies, such as Dexamethasone, Remdesivir, or even Regeneron’s antibody cocktail, and more.
