“I was struggling with health and insurance issues. PAA was able to help me get better care and take care of some unresolved issues with my health insurance. They were tenacious with getting my issues resolved, between different specialist providers in two different cities. Without PAA I don’t think I would have survived my cancer diagnosis.”
“Tami and her staff were incredibly professional and patient as they helped me navigate a health care billing nightmare. I appreciate all of the time and energy they spent not only negotiating my bill down to 30% but also teaching me how to do this. I actually used the skills Tami taught me in another matter and had my bill reduced down to a reasonable amount. I would recommend Patient Advocate Alliance to anyone who might need similar help.”

How Can We Help
PAA’s objective is to empower you to protect yourself by preparing you to ask the right questions and to always be prepared with a current list of medications and drug allergies in your wallet.
In 2013 it was estimated that there are at least 410,000 deaths caused by the US medical system each year, and millions more who are injured by our healthcare system each year. Over half of these figures are actually caused by medications.
James, John T. PhD A New, Evidence-based Estimate of Patient Harms Associated with Hospital Care, Journal of Patient Safety: September 2013 – Volume 9 – Issue 3 – p 122-128. doi: 10.1097/PTS.0b013e3182948a69
These numbers are likely much higher today, which is why we are so passionate about helping people protect themselves.
We are made up of 4 people from diverse professional backgrounds who are committed to providing patient advocacy by helping people enjoy better, safer, and fairly priced medical care.
“According to the American Society of Consultant Pharmacists, people aged 65 to 69 take an average of 15 prescriptions a year, and those aged 80 to 84 take 18 prescriptions a year. And that’s in addition to the myriad over-the-counter drugs, herbal remedies, vitamins and minerals they may take, any of which — alone or in combination — could cause more problems than they cure.”
All of these pills alone are capable of doing harm, so you can imagine what can happen when multiple medications are taken together. What’s more, most doctors and pharmacists do NOT communicate with each other, which is an additional risk factor. Medications are risky and the PAA Medication-Card is the solution. Our Medication-Card communicates the following potentially life-saving information:
- Each of your Medications and Natural Supplements are easily and accurately conveyed to all of your providers and pharmacists.
- A list of Medication Allergies that emergency rooms, pharmacies, and all of your medical providers must know.
